Israel now has a law setting minimum model body mass index for advertisements and requiring that fashion magazines disclose Photoshopping that cuts pounds off of models in editorial spreads.I think this is a great initiative, although there is sure to be a backlash in the fashion community. Personally, I think that body shape should not be a pre-cursor to wearing well designed clothing, or for our ideals of beauty. Also images should not be altered to unrealistic proportions.
